“Last Hurrah” Party at the Playground!
On Sunday, September 27th, we’ll gather at the playground to say farewell to the amazing pieces of equipment that have served this community for more than twenty years. The playground will be closed for demolition and renovation as of October 1st, so this really is the last goodbye! Take your last swing, slide your last slide and learn how to get involved with our wonderful community build. This is a free event open to all!
Sunday, September 27th, 3-5pm at the Sherborn Playground (Cemetery Lane, beyond the fire station).

A bit of Las Vegas fun hit Sherborn right before the snow – as a fundraising event for the playground rebuild! Friends gambled the night away to support the purchase of materials for our playground centerpiece – the historic Farm Pond Steamboat. On Friday, January 30th, Sherborn residents tested their luck at Blackjack, Texas Hold ‘Em, Craps, Poker and Roulette – and don’t forget about the slot machines! The band was amazing, the food from Stone Hearth Pizza was fantastic, the beer from Harpoon cold and plentiful, and the highest winning player went home with two tickets to a Boston Bruins game as a grand prize!
Facilities for this event were provided by the Sherborn Community Center Foundation and its membership donors. Special thanks to Needham Bank for its donation of the raffle grand prize.
